Privacy Policy
Effective September 21, 2026. Calle 8 Sports Bar and Grill (“we”) operates calle8sportsbar.com and the bar at 1010 SW 8th Street, Miami, Florida 33130. This page explains what we collect and why. It is our statement of practice. It does not waive a right Florida or federal law gives you that cannot be waived.
Who we are
Phone 305-707-8904. Email monica@calle8sportsbar.com. Hours are Sunday–Thursday 11am–11pm, Friday 11am–12am, and Saturday 11am–1am. We are a sports bar and grill in Little Havana. Food and drink are paid in the restaurant. This website does not run a guest checkout and does not store card numbers.
Information you give us
- Reservations. Booking a table uses OpenTable. The name, phone, email, and party size you give OpenTable are used to hold the table. OpenTable’s own privacy policy covers what they store. We receive what we need to seat you.
- Private events and the first-visit offer. If you write us about a watch party, a birthday, or the first-beverage offer, we use your name and contact details to answer and to honor the offer as it is written on that page. An inquiry is not a confirmed event until we say so.
- Careers. If you email about a job, we use that message to reply. Do not send a Social Security number or a copy of an ID through the website.
- The Ask box. A question typed into the Ask button is sent to the service that hosts the box for us (My AI Marketing Guy) so we can answer from our own pages. We use the text to reply and to see which questions the site did not answer. Do not put a card number or a password in that box. The chat cannot call you back, because it does not take a phone number.
- In the bar. A tab, a private-event sheet, or a lost-item note may include your name and how to reach you. We use that for the visit, not for a mailing list.
Information collected while you browse
The server can log the IP address, the time, the page, and the browser. We use that to keep the site up.
Google Tag Manager (container GTM-M47RVTGC) loads on these pages. Through it, the site may set Google Analytics cookies and advertising-measurement cookies so we can see which pages are used and whether an ad was seen. We do not sell personal information, and we do not hand our guest list to a data broker. You can block cookies in your browser. Details and the cookie names we know about are in the Cookie Policy.
The site also loads typefaces, a map or directions link, and the OpenTable reservation button. Those requests go to Google or OpenTable.
How we use information
- To hold a reservation, answer an event inquiry, or reply to a job email.
- To honor a promotion that is still offered on the page where you saw it.
- To understand which pages and ads bring people to the bar.
- To keep ordinary records of a private event or a tab when the law or our insurer expects it.
If you ask us to call you, that number is for that request. We do not use it for unrelated autodialed advertising. If you tell us to stop, we stop.
What we do not do
We do not sell personal information. We do not rent our guest list. Payment for food and drink happens at the bar, not through a stored card on this website.
Who else sees it
- Managers and staff who need it to seat you or answer you.
- The company that hosts this website.
- OpenTable, for a reservation you start there.
- Google, through Tag Manager, Analytics, fonts, and maps.
- My AI Marketing Guy, which hosts the Ask box and receives the question you type.
- An insurer, a lawyer, or a regulator if there is a claim or a legal duty.
How long we keep it
A reservation or an event note is kept long enough to host the night and to answer a question about it. Analytics stays on Google’s schedule for our tag, not as a permanent file in the office. If you ask us to delete a message we do not need for an event, a tab, taxes, or a dispute, we delete it.
How we protect it
Access is limited to people who run the bar. Florida Statutes section 501.171 requires notice if certain personal information is breached: a name combined with a Social Security number, a government ID, a financial account with an access code, certain medical information, or a username with a password. The website forms are not built to collect those. A name and a phone number alone are not that kind of record. We still treat them as guest information. If a breach of the kind the statute describes happens, we notify affected Florida residents as that section requires.
Florida and United States rules
- Deceptive practices. The Florida Deceptive and Unfair Trade Practices Act and the Federal Trade Commission Act prohibit misleading statements. Hours, the $5 all-day drink offer, and promotions mean what the page says while they are posted. A price can change. The price you are charged is the price at the bar.
- Alcohol. Drink service is for guests 21 and older. We can refuse service. This site is not directed at children.
- Calls and email. The Telephone Consumer Protection Act and Florida’s telephone-solicitation law restrict sales calls you did not ask for. A call about a reservation or an event you requested is not a cold solicitation. Marketing email, if we send it, follows the CAN-SPAM Act: we identify the bar, include our address, and honor a request to stop.
- Children. We do not knowingly collect information from a child under 13. A parent can email monica@calle8sportsbar.com and we will delete it.
Florida’s Digital Bill of Rights applies to very large technology companies. It does not apply to this bar. California’s consumer privacy statute applies to businesses over that law’s thresholds. We do not meet them, and we do not sell personal information. A California resident may still email us to ask what a form stored, to correct it, or to delete it.
Your choices
You can call 305-707-8904 instead of a form. You can close the cookie note. You can block cookies. You can email monica@calle8sportsbar.com and ask what we have, ask for a correction, or ask us to delete a message we no longer need. The Terms of Service cover the visit and the website.
Changes
If we change this policy, we post the new version on this page and change the effective date.
